Why does my anti-virus software come up?
By clicking the links above you will launch the secure remote connection software. Sometimes anti-virus software can report this software as a threat as, by the nature of the job it does (transmit screen and inputs from one computer to another) it requires a much deeper access to your system than a standard application. If this is the case with your AV please speak to an ATG support engineer who will ensure your AV software has up-to-date definitions to allow secure access.
How secure is ATG Remote Support?
This remote support software uses full encryption based on 1024bit RSA private/public key exchange and 256bit AES session encoding. This uses the same security level as https/SSL and is considered completely safe by today's standards. The key exchange also guarantees that the data channel is completely encoded from client to client and that any routers or servers in between are unable to read or analyze the data stream.
