Were pleased to welcome our newest addition to our ever growing team, Karl Fontanari. Karl will be joining the team in a commercial role, channelling a wealth of experience and knowledge; based on his 35 years of being in the IT industry, yes he really did start out in 1982!
For more than 15 years he has worked for several multi-national telecommunication companies such as BT, Vodafone, and Telstra as well as leading vendors such as Hitachi, Sun, and Oracle.
His areas of focus in recent years has been around Hybrid Cloud, Data Centre Services, Connectivity, Security, Digital Transformation, and most recently Compliance covering areas such as PCI, ISO Standards & GDPR. Having organised workshops for organisations wishing to know more on the new GDPR legislation. Additionally publishing a number of well informed articles, giving advice on how to comply; which we will be utilising as part of our GDPR blog series.
Based on Karl's background, he can provide realistic and practical business advise around the ongoing adoption of various technology and services. Assisting businesses in areas such as Managed Services, Business Continuity and Information Management.
Alongside Karl's career, he has also raised money for Cancer Research through a charity coastal UK motorcycle ride covering around 3,600 in 7 days, and has also started to support Worcester Warriors again, as they currently need all the help they can get!
Karl's broad range of expertise, industry knowledge, and charity initiatives make him a great fit for ATG. He is looking forward to helping organisations get the most from their investments as well as advising in areas they could benefit from.
