Dave and Kate complete the Xrunner in aid of MacMillian

At ATG we want to congratulate our very own David Carr (Financial Director) and Kate Jones (Office co-ordinator) for successfully completing the Wildmudrun challenge, in aid of Macmillian Cancer Trust

The Wildmudrun was hosted by Xrunner at Osmaston Manor in Derby. Over the weekend the tranquil parkland was turned into the ultimate adventure playground.

Xrunner are renown for hosting a range of the UK's best obstacle courses and the 'Wildmudrun' in particular was voted 'best obstacle race of the year'.

The race was made up of five-kilometre laps containing around sixty obstacles in the full race distance. They faced it all mud, water, tunnels, monkey bars, fire, giant walls, cargo nets, balance beams, hurdles, jacobs ladders, tightropes.........just to name a few.

Why Macmillian Cancer Trust?

In 2016 we decided as a company that we'd like to support different a different charity every year by raising money for them. This year we have decided on Macmillian Cancer Support a charity which David has a personal experience of dealing with when his Grandad was diagnosed with cancer.

They say 1 in 3 of us will get cancer at some point in our lives so helping Macmillan is helping 1 in 3 people which is pretty good for your karma! So far we have exceeded our target of £1000, however, there is always more to give to such a powerful cause. If you'd like to support us on our journey you can donate here.

Fundraising is hugely important to Macmillan. Without people doing events, running marathons, climbing mountains, and donating in all the other ways that you can, Macmillan wouldn’t exist. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
