Another Double Nomination For Network Group Awards !

After reaching the finals of the PCR Awards earlier this month, 2018 continues to be a great year for ATG with the news that we have received 2 nominations in the Network Group Awards 2018!

We are finalists in 2 categories at The Network Group Awards, Managed Service Provider of the Year and Business to Business Reseller of the Year.

GDPR Workshop (15th March 2018)

Last week we conducted a GDPR Workshop in collaboration with the renown solicitors Harrison Clark Rickerbys. For those who may not know GDPR is a new legislation that is being enforced on the whole of Europe on the 25th May 2018. This new legislation aims to change the way organisations handle and process the data of EU citizens, granting them new rights over their personal data.

Last week our CEO, Mark Matthews was presenting to a full room of 40 entrepreneurs on 'How to define values within the organisation', sharing his views on the importance of company values and how ATG identified their own. In this presentation, Mark gave insight into why your business values need to represent the existing team and NOT be based on what the CEO deems as important.

We have been shortlised for the PCR Awards 2018!

ATG-IT have started the new year on a high, having been nominated for 'MSP Specialist of the year' in the national PCR Awards 2018!  The event takes place on Wednesday 7th March 2018  at The Brewery in Central London.

For those that may not know PCR are a trade publication for the home and business computer sector.

GDPR Breakfast Briefing Event

On Thursday 2nd November 2017 we hosted our first 'GDPR Breakfast Briefing' event, inside our office in Bromsgrove. Our Breakfast briefings are simply a training and development event scheduled for the morning period.

GDPR if you don't already know stands for 'General Data Protection Regulation', which is going to supersede the current 'Data Protection Act 1998. GDPR been a regulation since May 2016 but will start to be enforced from the 25th May 2018.

The event was led by our consultant Steve McGowan, who has been studying the subject heavily since it's announcement.

Meet our new ‘Consulting Partner’ – Karl Fontanari

Were pleased to welcome our newest addition to our ever growing team, Karl Fontanari. Karl will be joining the team in a commercial role, channelling a wealth of experience and knowledge; based on his 35 years of being in the IT industry, yes he really did start out in 1982!

For more than 15 years he has worked for several multi-national telecommunication companies such as BT, Vodafone, and Telstra as well as leading vendors such as Hitachi, Sun, and Oracle.

Meet our new ‘Marketing Executive’ – Jahmel Coleman

Some big changes are cooking up in the ATG office, one of these changes is our newly appointed Marketing Executive, Jahmel Coleman. A Marketing Management graduate, previously studying creative digital media production.

More recently Jahmel has returned from a 3-month voluntary placement with 'Balloon Ventures', aiding the local entrepreneurs of Nakuru (Kenya) in developing their aspiring business ideas.
