Tom is changing roles at ATG

If you're a support or 5nines client of ATG you will have spoken or met with Tom, probably multiple times over that last few years. He's been a part of our technical team for over 12 years!

As we change and grow as a business, we've pinpointed a need for a dedicated account manager, as Tom knows and understands all our clients the leadership team saw him as the natural candidate for the role, which he was more than happy to accept and is looking forward to the new challenge.

What exactly is a technical account manager?

Put plainly he's there to ensure that we are doing everything we can to make our clients businesses a success. That might just be the day to day service delievry but more importantly its to ensure that technology is giving them a competitive edge. Any projects the technical account managers role is to ensure that anything happens smoothly. Additionally to that he'll be keeping clients up to date on the latest business risks we see in the industry and what you can do to combat those, the risks of cyber attack changes daily, we need to keep on top of that to ensure our clients remain safe.

What will be involved?

For our clients it will be a continuation of the service you receive now but with extra involvement. For instance Tom will be carrying out regular reviews with you to ensure we're delivering what you need us to, keeping us aware of any changes to the business and most importantly where we can add value. Are you looking at new industry software that you need an opinion on? Are you looking to move to new premises? We can plan and discuss these in detail to ensure from the get go that we're there to support you.

Is this just a sales meeting?

No account managers in other commodity based industries are sales people. Part of the role will be to bring together proposals and quotes upon request but that isn't the focus for the role. The success of our clients is the most important part of the role.
